Description

SG-8 is a general-purpose suspension polyvinyl chloride homopolymer supplied as a white, free-flowing powder. It has a viscosity range of 73–86 mL/g and a K-value of 55–59.

Compared with higher-K-value suspension PVC grades, SG-8 has lower molecular weight and lower melt viscosity. These characteristics support easier fusion, good material flow, shorter processing cycles, and efficient mold filling.

Final product performance depends on the stabilizers, lubricants, processing aids, impact modifiers, plasticizers, fillers, pigments, and other additives used in the formulation.

Applications

Typical applications include rigid injection-molded fittings and components, transparent sheets and films, blow-molded products, rigid foam products, discs, and other rigid PVC articles requiring good flow and efficient processing.

Final grade suitability should be confirmed according to the formulation, processing method, applicable standards, and required finished-product performance.

Key Characteristics

Low-viscosity suspension PVC
K-value of 55–59
Good flow performance
Efficient fusion and processing
Suitable for rigid injection molding
Consistent molded-part quality

Packaging

SG-8 is generally supplied in 25 kg kraft-paper or woven polypropylene bags. Approximately 1,100 kg jumbo bags may also be available depending on the manufacturer and current supply arrangement.

Final packing format, palletization, and container-loading quantity should be confirmed when placing an order.

Storage

Store the resin in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. Protect the packaging from moisture, rain, direct sunlight, contamination, and excessive heat.

Keep the bags closed and undamaged until the material is required for processing. Outdoor storage is not recommended.
