Description

SG-5 is a general-purpose suspension polyvinyl chloride homopolymer supplied as a white, free-flowing powder. It has a listed viscosity range of 107–118 mL/g and a K-value of 66–68.

The grade provides a suitable balance of processability, mechanical strength, rigidity, and dimensional stability. It is commonly processed through extrusion, injection molding, and other standard rigid-PVC manufacturing methods.

Final product performance depends on the stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, impact modifiers, processing aids, pigments, and other additives used in the formulation.

Applications

Typical applications include PVC-U pipes and fittings, window and door profiles, rigid sheets, wall panels, cable conduits, ducts, construction profiles, and other rigid extruded or injection-molded PVC products.

Final grade suitability should be confirmed according to the formulation, processing equipment, applicable standards, and required finished-product performance.

Key Characteristics

General-purpose suspension PVC
K-value of 66–68
Good mechanical strength
Reliable dimensional stability
Suitable for rigid PVC products
Consistent processing performance

Packaging

SG-5 is generally supplied in 25 kg kraft-paper or woven polypropylene bags. Approximately 1,100 kg jumbo bags may also be available depending on the manufacturer and current supply arrangement.

Final packing format, palletization, and container-loading quantity should be confirmed when placing an order.

Storage

Store the resin in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. Protect the packaging from moisture, rain, direct sunlight, contamination, and excessive heat.

Keep the bags closed and undamaged until the material is required for processing. Outdoor storage is not recommended.
