Description

Marlex® TRB-115 is a bimodal high-molecular-weight high-density polyethylene ethylene-hexene copolymer developed for blown-film processing.

The grade provides good bubble stability and film drawdown, helping support consistent film formation during processing. It also offers high impact strength, toughness, stiffness, tensile strength, and balanced tear performance.

Applications

Typical applications include T-shirt bags, produce bags, merchandise bags, industrial liners, trash-can liners, and other retail or industrial blown-film products.

Key Characteristics

Good bubble stability
Good film drawdown
High impact strength and toughness
Excellent stiffness and tensile strength
Balanced machine-direction and transverse-direction tear
Suitable for retail and industrial blown film

Food-Contact Compliance

According to the current manufacturer regulatory documentation, Marlex® TRB-115 meets the requirements of 21 CFR 177.1520, including 21 CFR 177.1520(c) 3.2a and 21 CFR 177.1520(b).

The resin may be used in contact with all food types defined in Table 1 of 21 CFR 176.170(c), under use conditions B–H defined in Table 2. Compliance and suitability of the finished article must be verified for its intended market, food type, temperature, processing conditions, and end use.

Packaging

Marlex® TRB-115 is supplied in the manufacturer’s standard polyethylene-resin packaging. Available bag weight, palletization, country of origin, and container-loading quantity should be confirmed for the offered shipment.
