Film properties were measured using 40 µm blown-film laboratory specimens produced with a 45 mm screw, L/D ratio of 30, 120 mm die diameter, 1.56 mm die gap, and a blow-up ratio of 2.5:1.
Technical values are provided for reference and may vary according to the applicable manufacturer documentation, production batch, and processing conditions. Final product specifications should be confirmed through the latest TDS and COA before purchase.
Processing
Lotrène® FD0374 can be processed using blown-film or cast-film extrusion equipment. A melt-temperature range of approximately 140–150°C is recommended.
Blown-film properties are generally optimized at blow-up ratios between 2:1 and 3:1. The nip-roll and take-off temperatures should be maintained as close as practical to ambient temperature to reduce blocking and shrinkage on the reel.
The recommended film-thickness range is approximately 20–100 µm. Processing conditions should be adjusted according to equipment design and finished-film requirements.
Applications
- Light-duty packaging film
- Laundry film and bags
- Display film
- Bakery bags
- Garment packaging film
- Newspaper wrapping film
Handling and Storage
Store the resin in its original packaging or in a clean, suitable silo. Keep the product in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated area protected from direct sunlight, moisture, contamination, and heat.
Prolonged or unsuitable storage may affect the performance of the slip and antiblocking additives. Follow the latest manufacturer storage and handling instructions for the supplied batch.
Safety
Refer to the latest Safety Data Sheet for information on safe handling, processing fumes, molten-polymer hazards, fire precautions, personal protective equipment, and first-aid procedures.
Food Contact and REACH
Food-contact suitability depends on the applicable market, finished-product design, processing conditions, and intended end use. Current food-contact declarations and regulatory compliance certificates should be obtained before use.
REACH status and other regulatory requirements should be confirmed through the latest manufacturer or supplier compliance documentation.
