Description
S-700 is a suspension-process polyvinyl chloride homopolymer supplied as a white powder. It has an average degree of polymerization of 650–750 and a K-value of 58–60.
Its relatively low molecular weight provides suitable flow and processing performance for rigid and semi-rigid PVC products manufactured through calendering, extrusion, injection molding, and other suitable processing methods.
The resin offers good electrical-insulation properties and chemical resistance. Suitable heat stabilizers, processing aids, lubricants, and other additives should be selected according to the required formulation and end-use application.
Applications
Typical applications include transparent sheets, rigid and semi-rigid packaging sheets, floor materials, lining films, transparent films, extruded profiles, and other rigid PVC products.
S-700 may also be used for selected injection-molded components such as joints, valves, electrical parts, automotive components, containers, and pipe fittings.
Key Characteristics
Packaging
S-700 is generally supplied in 25 kg polypropylene or kraft-paper bags. Alternative large-bag packaging may be available depending on the current supply arrangement.
Final packaging format, palletization, and container-loading quantity should be confirmed when placing an order.
Storage
Store the product in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. Protect the packaging from moisture, rain, direct sunlight, contamination, and excessive heat.
Keep the packaging closed and undamaged until the material is required for processing. Outdoor storage is not recommended.
